Default 2001 GC no ext lights, no guages

Hi folks, I’ve searched and found a partial solution. No head lights, tail lights or turn signals so maybe light switch. Same for brake lights switch. But the thread ended without an answer to gauges not working. I pulled the cluster, pins are like knew. Fuse good. I understand that some things are in series, so should I begin with one switch at a time? Or is there another reason all these things could stop simultaneously. Thanks much.

Sounds like the headlamp switch. Do you remember a plasticky-burny smell at any time? When my switch went bad it caused a short and the connector contacts overheated, leading to connector plastic body meltdown. So I had to replace the switch and a portion of the harness incl. connector (available as a pre-pinned assembly to be spliced into place). Here's a pic of mine during the repair. You can see the damages from when it went bad...

Ok good people, I'll update this thread in case anyone has a similar problem. Thanks for the reply Cheeryokee, but seems my problem was self-inflected.
I got this vehicle 12 years or so ago after my parents pasted. I'm old, they were old. Anyway, the car had sat outside for many years untouched. It was a mess but only 43k miles, 58k now.
No one else wanted it so I decided to bring it back. A lot was done including rebuilding the ac. So, the dash came out a time two. This issue had happened b4, I forgot but as I poked around it came to me.
Someone recommended replacing the flasher relay back then. That didn't cure the problem first try, but after swapping new back to old and old back to new it worked. I suspected the
two screw in plugs between the fuses and relays weren't making good contact. Yay, but not the end story, sorry. One morning my wife was driving the Cherokee as I followed in her Rav4 (dead alternator)
to the shop and the Jeep lights went out again. Well I did what any angry old man would do in the moment, popped off the cover and gave to two plugs a good stomp. Boom,
lights, gauges back on. I didn't kick it this time, only reseated them. Sorry for the long story. Getting old is not for sissies. God bless, out.
