2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo
Just did a new radiator on the jeep today, have to say it was a pain getting it out going around the condenser lines. Chrysler have installed the radiator first and then the condenser lines next was jeep was assembled. Other problem after getting everything back together the fluid started to leak out the petcock. Ok so I drain the radiator from the lower hose and put the lousy plastic petcock out and find the O ring is cut brand new radiator. I take the petcock out of the old radiator and line the bugger up with the slots on the drain housing and push back in and turn success, however I lost a lot of antifreeze and had to refill again. Ok just venting here it was a pain in the *&% job!

Most of the time you'll find it's better to just leave that drain petcock alone. It's a bit messy to drain the radiator by the lower hose, but that petcock is more trouble than it's worth. They leak, don't seal very well if opened, take forever to drain anyway.

Agreed! They have been known to get so badly stuck in the open position that a new radiator was required. Best to just leave it alone.

Radiator replacement trans cooler lines
I just replaced my radiator on my 2004 grand Cherokee Laredo 4.7. When reinstalling my power steering lines (the larger one), to the fan assembly, it seems the line still moves in the fitting. I put a new o-ring on but still seems loose. What have I done wrong ? or left out ?
Radiator replacement trans cooler lines <-- I meant power steering.
