Default 2004 JGC Limited Problems... Help!

I'm having a few problems with this car, and am trying to understand what might be wrong with it so I can get things repaired.

The first thing is a whining noise from the front right wheel. This usually comes in the mornings when I first start driving. A friend suggests it might have something to do with the power steering, but I only just got this car, so I have no idea. Over time, this sound will grow less, but remains fairly constant if quieter.

The second issue is a weird beeping noise I heard recently. After a trip to a friend's house, about a 40 mile drive, I stopped and parked the car. As I got out, I heard a steady "beeeeeeeeeeeeeep!" sound coming from under the hood of the car. I popped the hood, and looked underneath, but it was one of those hard to pinpoint sounds... the best I could do was discover it was coming from the left side of the compartment, near either the battery or what looks like a computer. I thought it *was* the computer looking thing, but the sound was really odd... it seemed to move when I brought my ear in close to see if it was coming from there. This happened after the trip home as well, but never again.

Which brings me to the third thing. After a second trip out to my friend's house, there was a burnt electronic smell coming from the heating vents. It was very strong and lasted for the rest of the day, but faded by the next day. The air coming from the vents had been odd smelling to begin with (probably needing new filters) but this was something somewhere either burning out completely or shorting out.

As I said before, the car is showing no warning lights, no other signs of knowing what's going on itself through the computer and such. It runs fine, though I might just not have a good feel for the car, only having had it a couple of weeks. If anyone can give me some ideas as to what's going on, I'd appreciate it.

((PS: I'm taking it for warranty service in a while, but I would still like to know if these people tried to slip me a lemon after making the car look and sound so nice. I'd also like to know what's happening for my own edification... it's better to know a few things about your car than to remain ignorant. ^^ I hope someone can give me some answers.))

If you do not get any replies here you may want to try Jeep forum, they have a really active WJ community. I am curious to get these answer especially the smell one since I had a similar smell just yesterday for about 10 mins.

This sounds like a wheel bearing

The electric smell my be your blower resistor.

I would lean toward the blower resistor. With the resistor being mounted directly on the blower housing, it could be getting hot, and that smell could be drawn right into the blower and then out your vents. I had a blower motor make a light squealing noise and as it warmed up the squealing slowly subsides but is still present. It was because the vehicle sat for a long time and rusted on the inside of the blower motor....I would go in that direction
