Default 2008 Grand Cherokee Laredo Bottoms Out

Hello all! I'm brand new here and thought I would get my feet wet right from the get-go. I have a weekend repair project coming up and need some advice. Here's some background. I live in Houston, TX and a little over two years ago I acquired a 2008 Grand Cherokee Laredo (3.7 liter V6, RWD) from a friend of mine. It belonged to his mother whom he had to put in an assisted living facility a couple of years back, so she didn't need it anymore. The vehicle sat in my driveway, and then garage, for the past 2 years and I recently began driving it regularly. Initially, I had to have some work done to get it up to snuff. There was a leak in the sunroof which allowed a good deal of water into the interior. Subsequently, I replaced the carpet and had the body control unit repaired as the standing water/moisture wreaked havoc on the electrical system. In addition, a whole new set of tires were required despite there being "like new" level tread on the currently existing ones. This was due to tire tread separation as a result of not being driven regularly. 3 of the 4 tires "just went bad". The need for new tires was evidenced by a lot of shaking at high speeds and more of a wobble when traveling below 40 mph. At the lower speeds it seemed like there was a bubble in one of the tires. Between all those issues I spent just short of $2K. So here's the crazy thing, being a 2008 year model the vehicle currently has only 32K miles on it!

Now that you're all caught up, here's what I have going on. The Jeep bottoms out on the smallest of bumps, potholes and speed bumps while traveling at speeds as low as 30 to 35 mph. This happens in both the front and rear of the vehicle. With such low miles I was in disbelief this was happening. My initial assumption is that the shocks and struts need to be replaced as a result of not having been driven for the better part of over 2 years. Subsequently, I bought Bilstein B6 4600 struts and shocks in addition to Moog coil spring insulators, strut mounts and bump stops (front only). However, I read on a forum that the cause may not be the shocks and struts but the bump stops specifically. After having spent a good amount of money on parts I would like to know if the fix is something as simple as replacing bump stops. If it is, I'd like to return all the excess parts I've purchased and just go with those which definitely require replacement. So how do I determine what exactly is causing the Jeep to bottom out? Also, if I need to replace the shocks/struts I'm guessing I will need the rear bump stops as well, right?

Thank you in advance for all your advice, suggestions and recommendations!
