My 2012 laredo is stuck in 1st gear/limp mode. Had transmission problems at 95,000 miles. Ended up getting new tranny from chrysler. We don't drive the vehicle that much, so now it's been 2.5 years and only 7,000 miles and more transmission issues. Chrysler dealership said the warranty period on the repair is 2 years, so I am out of luck (does that sound right? Thought it would be three years)

The check engine light is giving the codes:

P0717 Turbine / Input Shaft speed sensor A circuit no signal
P2784 Input / Turbine Speed sensor A/B Correlation

I've done some digging, this is a Mercedes transmission I believe. But I can't figure out if the speed sensors are able to replaced or if it needs an entire new trans. I'm hearing conflicting reports from different people on the issue. I think someone said if the speed sensor sheered off in there, it's a trans rebuild.

Anyone been down this road with these speed sensors? Or what about warranty work, 2 or 3 years?
