Hi, We have a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee diesel with and intermittent starting problem. Occasionally, when starting, the starter motor engages, but the engine doesn’t start. I have to press the start button, sometimes several times, to cancel. Then pressing the start button again starts the car. It runs quite normally. When this happens there is no check engine light on, or any error codes generated.

This issue seemed to start some time ago when driving along and the Electronic Throttle Warning Light came on. Turning the engine off and on fixed this issue and we drove home without a problem. Unfortunately a good samaritan cleared the error codes generated, so I don't know what they were.

would this still be an issue when I use the remote start? it turns on then cuts off within 1 min..the dealer said they checked it, this time I will make sure they replace it!
