2014 Grand Cherokee Rear Wiper
I have a 2014 Grand Cherokee Trail Hawk with a rear wiper problem. I've read a lot about people having issues with the motor not working all together, but this issue is different. The rear wiper still runs, but only sometimes, and only if the vehicle is in reverse and only if the switch on the control stick is turned off. If the front wipers are turned off it runs pretty sluggish, but if I start the vehicle, turn the front wipers on, then put the vehicle in reverse the rear wipers work fine at full speed. The fuse hasn't blown and I doubt it's an issue with the motor since it still works under those specific conditions. Any ideas? I suspect it's an issue in the wiring harness either at the control stick in the steering column or under the drivers side left wall panel (near your left foot/parking brake pedal). A few months ago the wiper fluid hose in that area had become detached and was spraying fluid in that area under the plastic panel but none of the wire harness connectors look corroded or damaged at all. Any help would be appreciated.
