One other thing... maybe get a baseline run. You might appreciate your modifications much more if you could see the difference.

Post up some slips I am curious what a stock V8 ZJ runs in the 1/4

Honestly, not many here who care what you think anymore... keep this in mind.

It'd be pretty cookie cutter boring if everyone followed the same line of thought all the time.
sorry to be the rain on the fire but jeeps intended use for 4wd was for offroad use. buy a real car to race.

I am so glad you speak for Jeep. I'm sure the guys with Jeepspeed would not agree with you. ANYBODY can do what they want with their Jeep. If you don't have anything constructive to say DON'T POST NEGATIVE THINGS.

i approve, build it and have fun. why be normal?

btw, the stock 44re or 46rh tranny behind the v8 is plenty strong enough. it will take a lot more torque than you can get with the 5.2 to blow that up.

a jeep is a jeep, no matter how it sits on the road.

where is the respect, people?

Theres quite a few fast 4wd and AWD Jeeps out there nowadays.. check the link i posted earlier.

This is always a good link when narrowmindedness says a Jeep cant be a racecar.

Yeah but he wants to convert it to 2wd. Which I don't really understand how dropping 100, maybe 200 lbs is going to beat out that much grip.

I think the OP would agree. Which is why he is ditching the 4 wheel drive to save weight and free up horsepower.

I see trucks and SUVs drag race all the time. If trucks aren't meant to race then there wouldn't be any drag racing... be nice

not sure about your state but volunteer firefighters in Ohio have red light bars... can you change the color?

Can't you get a later model transfercase that has a slip coupler in it that is made to be in 4wd all the time like a 249. Then you could beef everything else up axle wise and do some 4 wheel burnouts.

he already has a 249.

and here, volunteer firefighters have green flashing lights on their vehicles. i'm impressed you want to become a volunteer firefighter, good on ya! but are you gonna use this race build for a fire rescue vehicle? that'd be cool, but you do know, they're not allowed to speed...

There= over there, get there.
They're= They are. They're coming over
Their= Belongs to. That is their Jeep.
