Default 93 5.2 computer questions

I got a 93 grand cherokee and was told if the computer acts up or anything like that to touch 2wires together in the door it's a green and black wire. Anyone know about this I think he said it was for a alarm or some kind of security thing ?????????

Never heard of touching two wires. I know on my gc if you disco the battery it will start for a second and then shut off. You have to turn the alarm off by unlocking the PASSANGER side door with key.

Maybe the two wires were cut or broken..

But if they were cut or broken wouldn't the wire be the same color

probably, didnt think of that. But I am assuming those are the two wires that would make contact when you normally would turn the key.

doesnt have to be the passenger door. it should work with all the lock cylinders (drivers door, passenger door, or tailgate). sometimes the drivers door lock cylinder will wear out and wont work anymore for disarming the security system.
