Default 95 4.0 ecm reset HELP

Hi. Got a 95 GCL with the 4.0. Just put a new engine computer in it. Was wondering how I'd go about properly resetting it. Also it wont start. Has fuel and will crank but no spark. All help appreciated. Thank you!

IDK for sure, but you may have to get it programmed with your VIN code. Dealer. No spark and probably no injectors either.

A "new" engine computer? Really? New? Not "reconditioned" or "remanufactured"?

Remanufacturers will test a reworked unit for function, program it to your order/specs (including VIN) and will guarantee functionality.

id check every wire and connection, check rotor and cap, all fuses, all grounds, plug wires, coil, if all checks good get your money back, was this an ebay computer? some guy called mister electric sold me a CDI for a wolverine that fired once and was no good. I got my money back, but had to wait more, screw around with and pay for shipping.
Why did you replace it in the first place? did you ever know for sure it was bad? And there wasn't a found cause of why it went bad? I know they don't need help going bad but I'm sure there are scenarios that can fry them

It was an ebay dealer. Dead Jeep is what they were called. Was told since its obd1 that as long as parts numbers add up it should work. But starting to think its because of the crankshaft sensor being bad

If crank sensor is bad you will not be able to read rpms when cranking with a scan tool.
