95 jeep grand Cherokee 5.2L need help
I have a 95 grand cherokee 5.2L i changed torque converter flushed the system put new shifter cable new neutral safety switch and now it wont turn over in park, it will in neutral but now it also doesnt start, when i go to start it, it starts for 5 seconds then bogs out like its not getting enough fuel, I was told it might be the factory anti theft alarm for the reason its not starting someone please help!

This reply shows my shift cable adjustment, for starting in Park and Neutral.
Test the VTA alarm. Lock the vehicle w/ a window open, reach in, unlock the door then open the door. The lights should sound and the horns blink, or something like that. Assuming that happens, then those signals will indicate when the VTA has disabled the ignition.

The alarm is now properly disabled after the battery is reconnected?
Please use normal sentences and normal capitalization.

The transmission was removed and replaced to permit swapping the torque converter.
On mine, when I bolted everything back into place, I had to readjust the shift cable, as-shown in my prior reply.
The shift cable moves the shift lever on the transmission. The rooster comb on that shaft activates the neutral safety switch when appropriate.
The cable must be adjusted to be just snug, w/o slop, when in Park.
... It wont go into park all the way
If i barely bump the shifter it goes into reverse
Its only starting in neutral
I've tried to adjust the linkage and still nothing
I don't know if maybe i messed something up or what
Before i changed torque converter it shifted into all gears fine, went into park and started.
