Good afternoon all,

I am working on my 96 Grand Cherokee Laredo. I have gotten everything working but the last thing is the rear wiper. In full automatic it works fine. When I put it on any intermittent setting it does one wipe and stops on the down swing. If I open the back glass it goes to home with no problem. A while back I found some suggestions on here that it might be a relay but I have tried searching and nothing turned up.

anyone have this problem and tell me what they did to trouble shoot it and where this relay might be? I’ll replace it if I can find a new one if that’s the problem.

I think the delay and parking function is built into the motor circuitry on the unit itself. The delay is preset and is not adjustable like on the newer models. At least that's the way it is on my XJ. The delay function has it's own power feed from the dash switch.

Thanks Dave. I got it working a little better. The delay actually works, the full on is the problem at the moment. At least my daughter has something on the back window if needed.
