96 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3in lift 4wd problem

I'd probably start by draining the fluid and see what it looks like. Tip: don't drain the fluid until you are sure you can break loose the filler nut plug.
some googling shows some pics of where things plug in. I guess the question would be did they just come undone, or did the previous owner take them off for a reason.
remind me again: didn't we buy Jeeps so we could always be working on them.. sure seems like it

- Lots of leaks. Start with the valve cover gasket (Felpro brand). Get some degreaser and start cleaning. You need it clean before you can find any leaks below the valve cover gasket.
- The broken sensors looks like its the reverse light sensor (could be wrong)
- The sensor that is in the exhaust but not connected needs to be connected. Look above it for the other side of the connector.
- The rubber line coming off the front axle is a breather line. Looks like the other end of it pops out to the drivers side wheel well. Just needs to be reconnected or replaced
- The rubber line that is by the trans is another breather line. Could be for the trans or the transfer case. Typically located at the top of each unit.

Old fart with a wrench
I once had a Chevy truck with an oil pan that looked like that but was dry. I started scrapping the crud off it and it started leaking oil! That stuff was rust and was holding the oil in! My bad!
