That is not the leak detection pump, but the evap canister solenoid. It is not the part you are looking for. Unfortunately the leak detecion pump is more like $120 than $35...

I took a quick look online and can't find that part. I can't find it for my 2001 XJ either, going to the dealership on Monday.

I agree though that the leak detection pump has nothing to do with your idle problems. I have had idle problems on my Audi though due to evap problems, and as I recall the culprit was the evap canister solenoid. The problem is that this thing tries to send fuel fumes into the engine at certain times, mine was malfunctioning and screwing up my air/fuel ratio causing unstable idle. Not sure if this is applicable, but you could give it a try.

Try cleaning the IAC valve, it is right behind the throttle body. My zj 5.2 was starting, then shutting off, I cleaned it, and it fired right up.

there should be two t20's holding it on.

mine is a 98 grand cherokee 4.0 with lpg conversion, runs lumpy on petrol and wont idle on lpg.
changed ht leads and put iridum plugs in also there is a strange brown wire wrapped around a coil ht lead so put it back on.? still runs crap. any help???and whats the brown wire?
