Be advised; 93-96 filter is external, 97-99 filter in internal on pump.

Yeah I know. Like I said, I thought he said it was a 95 then I realized it said a 98. My mistake, I misread it.

my bad, it is more than likely your crankshaft position sensor. it's on the top left on the backside of your transmission bellhousing driver side. do not pay 300-400 dollars to a shop. you can get your hands and your extension wratchet w/ socket to the part from underneath the vehicle. you do not need to elevate the vehicle unless you are wider than the vehicles natural height. i changed mine in about 15 minutes once i figured out how to position myself. another thing that can cause stalling also is the cam position sensor ( also called pick-up or relay ) that is located under the distributor cap. it's a flat, gray piece of plastic ( round ) with the wire attached to an electrical connector and to a magnet under the sensor. make sure you get one for specifically a V8 or V6. some parts places will give you one automatically for a V8. there are two different ones depending on your motor size. the magnet has a decent hold on the part, so just pry it up with a screwdriver until you can slip your finger under the cover. easy to replace. does the vehicle stall while idling or in park. if so, crankshaft position sensor is 99.9% of the time your culprit. if it runs great other than when you get heavy footed on the pedal, it could be that you need to clean your throttle intake or change your map sensor. i bet if you change your crankshaft position sensor this problem will go away.

Jeep has never stalled and it doesn't just lose power when I'm really gettin on it, it can start actin up at almost any throttle position on takeoff so I let up on the throttle for just a second and get back on it and everything is fine. If I don't get out of the throttle while it's actin up the motor misfires and bucks while trying to perform.
Thanks for all the replies again guys.

That sounds like a fuel starvation problem.
