98 jeep Grand Cheorkee sluggish accerlation !
Hi, This is my first time posting here so go easy on me , I just bought a 98 grand Cherokee 4.0 engine with the famous inline 6 cylinder in it , It runs good has 262,000 miles on it ,Its a two wheel drive , Ill put that sucker anyplace that your 4 wheel drives will go , Of course after I get this little nagging problem fixed , the problem is it seems like something's holding it back , You can feel it hesitating just a little but its not a big deal just doesn't have the power that it should have , I have replaced the throttle position sensor , plugs wires even the fuel pump and filter , It doesn't have a catalytic converter on it , I'm thinking amm , its just being sluggish upon acceleration , There's no check engine light on , Has an external voltage regulator on it , I drive it everyday , Scan tool didn't come up with nothing, Checked all my vacuum lines no leak . Even had some other people look at it listen for a vacuum leak nothing , So what is causing this any ideas folks ? Thanks
