98 ZJ Persistent Fickleness
Hello, I bought my ZJ from my parents in 2010. Been tinkering with it ever since, teaching myself how to work on it as I go. Motor is great, 172k and no major hiccups. New CPS by dealer, otherwise, I have replaced the evaporator and heater core myself this winter, put in a new IAC and TPS. New gas tank and gas pump. New valve cover gasket. It has new tranny fluid and I keep the oil changed and all. Replacing a leaking radiator next weekend. I am still waiting on hearing back from anyone regarding my airbag light, which continues to be on. Don't know if I should throw a new module in it or not. Thoughts?
New now is the driver side door locks and power mirrors control. The mirror controls don't work at all and the door locks are fickle. The driver side door stopped working and makes a different, higher-pitched noise when I use it. The driver side rear door lock has also stopped working making that weird noise. The passenger side door locks had not been working, but now miraculously do. Any insight on how to get these fixed would be appreciated. Is this electrical? Seems to be. Is it the motors all failing at once? Thank you guys!

I totally eliminated the electrical door locks on all the doors of my ZJ. They 'can' be the cause of problems. I only use the key to manually unlock the doors and then manually lock them when I leave it. I do not really drive it anymore. My Brother in Law uses it every day like this though.
It reminds me of my 1987 and 1992 Camaros. They have no remote or motorized locks at all.
