Alarm won't turn off. (Resolved)

Hey guys,

So I been trying to figure out how to bypass the alarm on my jeep. Here's the back story:

I have 03 grand Cherokee 4.0, a mechanic trying to cheat me, removed my skim mod. So I ordered a new PCM with the skim delete, problem solved, but yesterday I went to unlock my jeep and the alarm went off. When I bought the jeep there was no key fob. Before replacing the PCM, just starting the jeep would shut it off. Not the case now that the skim is deleted. I just pulled off my door panel and about to see if I can fix the lock shut off at the door. But, since I'm not really worried about someone stealing my jeep (at this moment they would be doing me a favor) I was hoping someone here might be able to help with some questions I have.

I read where you can bypass the alarm by cutting and grounding both ends of the purple/yellow wires that come from the door. But had anyone tried this? I'm no mechanic and really want to know if it works, or kills the battery. And can someone who knows just enough to be dangerous, do this as easily as it sounds?

Now barring all that, does anyone have any other suggestions for dealing with this alarm?
