Bad vibration- first post
I just bought a 95 GC w/ AWD, 4.o auto. Whenever you put it in gear with the brake on, there is a really bad vibration coming from underneath. any help would be appreciated

check the motor & tranny mounts. Then move to the torque converter bolts.
Check for the exhaust hitting. Since you're not moving, that'll rule out driveline
componets (bearings, u-joints, axles and such).
Does the vibration increase with engine speed, forward/reverse ?
Oh, welcome to CF

actually only at idle. if you put your foot on the brake and try to accelorate, it lessens to adegree. therevis not a front driveshaft hooked up, it has abad front diff and the previous owner unhooked it. I was wondering if this could be some of the problem.
