Good to hear. I was going to wire a fan so I can have an always on, default, and always off.

I'll grab a cap and tstat and water pump while I'm at it.

wouldn't hurt to replace the fan clutch as well. At the least inspect it.

I'll have to see if this is within my skill level and budget at the moment.

To put your mind at ease, do a compression check.

I like the way the clutch fan performs.. Whats the reason to change to electric fan? after I flushed the coolant I ran it with the cap off for a few mins and I squeezed on the upper hose to help push out all the air. haven't had any bubbling since.

Well than I'll go this route. I just drove it for 30 minutes pretty hard after I let it idle for 20 minutes. It stayed right around 210. I'm still going to replace tstat, cap, water pump, and hoses though. First I'm going to get it inspected before I drop any more money. That way I have money to fix what fails inspection...

It was 100 degrees outside, AC was on full blast, and it was sitting in my driveway when the coolant started boiling.

My mom saw it and got worried so I'm trying to put her mind at ease. I understand Jeeps run a little warmer when at a stand still and she doesn't.

I think the coolant was too full partially too. I tore through my neighborhood pulling 50-60 with AC on full and it stayed right at 210.

Regardless it's about time I service the cooling system. I did most the ignitions already besides the actual distributor and the components in the steering column.

What's the best way to degrease the engine by the way? I have an oil leak somewhere, I'm thinking the oil pan (bad gasket) but I wanted to clean it up and see for sure.
