Hey I have a 97 Cherokee, and about 2 months ago i blew a wheel cylinder. I replaced it bleed it out but the light on my dash will not go out. I have messed with the float in the master thinking it was stuck but its not, as well as unplugging the sensor for the master. Any knowledge on how to fix the light? 162,000 miles and thats the only light i have on drives me nuts! haha

your "brake" light is on most likely because the e-brake handle is not all the way down or you have a problem with the switch located at the bottom of the brake handle. to check (iirc) there are 4 screws that hold the center armrest door and 2 more screws at the bottom of the cubby to remove so you can see down at the brake lever. check the switch to make sure it's not dirty or broken. but first i'd just push the ebrake lever button in and push down to see if it'll go down any farther.
if your talking about "abs" light on your dash, that's a different story. just let me know and i'll try to help you out.

The lever and sensor are both fine.... The light originally came on when I blew the wheel cylinder as i was driving it because it lost most of the fluid. And ive bled them, it's full of fluid And nothing changed

does the brake pedal feel fine? the brake light on is one of three things according to the manual: (1) e-brake handle, (2) possible brake system fluid leak or (3) low pressure level. I'm wondering that maybe it has to be reset since you have fixed the problem or if maybe there is still air in the lines... pump your pedal a few times. if the pedal seems to build up that would indicate air is still in the system.

Mine did that in the 94 switch was stuck in near the pedal. Pushed on the pedal hard when I was in the driveway and I could feel the switch release. Might spray that down and check that. It also done that when I had a leaking wheel cylinder and fluid was running low. Thats usually visible on the outside of the backing plate on the rear.
