budget boost
Ok I have a 2.25" boost on my zj. I would like to add a spring lift as well. Was just wondering how high I can go before I have to start changing out other major suspension parts. I know I'm probably gonna have to get extended sway links.

As busted said 3.5 is about all you can get away with before you start getting into the realm of more parts to keep things lined up. But as Luke said socks are needed before that. It also depends on what you plan to do. If you're just doing it for looks you can get away with cutting more corners since flex and droop aren't as big of concerns as they would be if you're hiring the trails.

I wheel in some mud and rock so its all about articulation vs traction.
Need one for the other ya know?

I was thinking of putting on a 3" rc lift. I love wheeling. I make monthly trips to Bundy hill. How high until I need to start worrying about my drive shafts.

Hey I'm an ex Chevy guy. The last 2 trucks I jacked were full size and had leaf springs all the way around. I never had to worry about flex and stuff like that. I just made them big, strong, and full of horse power.

You have 2.25" now and want to put another 3" on, I'd save for a 5+" long arm kit like claytons or iron rock offroad.
I have a 96 XJ with 6.5" Rusty's lift and stock driveshafts. No vibes from the drive line and I dont have an SYE on my tcase.
