Can I exchange 04 rims with 06 rims on GC
You never know. Sometimes if you stick something up on Craiglist, you get great deals or you get scammed but I posted for a set of OEM wheels for my 04 JGCL 4.7
I bought new tire back in 06 and Sears must have hired a monkey to mount tires. They severely gouged my wheels so replaced them with some Sears chrome pieces of crap that looked good for about six months.
Somewhere along the line, I picked up a vibration. When I went to have the RF balanced, Firestone said that one of the rims was bent. Don't know how that happened but the car always rode great even after being smacked by an unlicensed `14 year old girl.
So I get a guy respond on Craigslist list who not only has 15 inch rims from an 06 but, GoodYear Wrangler GSA tires 30x9.50x15. (?) already mounted.
He says the tires have no plugs or repairs, and have 6k miles of them.
I currently have 16 inch rims and Michelin P245/70rX16s with about 5k miles left on them.
Will these tires work for my Jeep and engine size? I am used to sitting up and have the ride width too...also Michelins are quiet. what can i expect from these Goodyear tires>?

I read your post a few times, but still don't really understand it. If you're asking if those wheels will fit on your 04 Grand Cherokee. Those are Wrangler Ravines, and they will not fit your WJ without adapters. WJ's have 5 on 5 bolt pattern, those are 5 on 4.5. I believe 06+ Wranglers have 5 on 5, but pre 06 are 5 on 4.5.

06 Wheels on 04 GC
I identified my car in the Craigslist ad clearly. It is an 04 Jeep GCL, 4x4 4.7l v8. The response that I got from the man with the rims shown in the picture was that they were from an 06 Jeep (he didn't say what kind).
After asking all kinds of questions, i finally found out they were 15" RIMS and he gave me the tire size.
I don't know enough about wheels and tires to make an educated decision without asking someone who does.
The guy at the local Firestone said, "yes they will fit and be about a half inch taller than your current tires BUT the wheels may rub against your calipers. We would have to put them on to see."
Then i started to read on these tires and can't seem to find anything good about them except they are good on dry roads but if it rains or snows you are in trouble. Hey, what a great choice for a JEEP! Everybody says they wear horribly as well BUT .... I could pick all this up for 300.!!!! So, it is like the tires are just freebies and will save me from having to buy new tires right now.
No one said the bolt pattern was different...but thanks. I guess that pretty much makes my decision.

Yea, i checked online. It's actually 07+ wranglers have the same bolt pattern as the 99-04 Grand Cherokee's. Yea, you would most likely have issues with the wheel rubbing the caliper with 15" rims. Front calipers on those WJ's are pretty big.
