Choosing between selling Jeep or paying for more repairs
1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo ZJ
Recovered from being stolen is now running, now that the fuses that had been pulled out have been replaced, but the engine has a loud noise and the dashboard displays are not working.
I wonder what I could get for selling it to someone who could tinker to fix the Jeep.
I am not sure that I can trust the mechanic who got it running, so will be taking it to my regular mechanic.
Any suggestions on how to evaluate the price for a Jeep with some issues would be appreciated
Thank you, Stuart

Look on CL or FB marketplace for values to compare yours to. They really have low resale IMO at least in my area. I paid $1200 for my 96 but it needed tires and a few seals. Sounds like your in a lose lose position.
