A buddy of mine has a 95 grand cherokeee laredo. he can get in it starts just fine every time and drive it down the road about 10 minutes into driving on the road it will die no sputter no choke just straight die lights will work radio stays on just engine shuts off. he can pull over and start it right up no problem and another 10 minutes in, it will cut off again. cel is not on.

if anybody has any ideas their greatly appreciated. ive spent a solid hour here searching the forums cant find anything like the problem he is having

 

I would start by checking it for any stored codes. You can still have stored code even if you have no CEL. But, It does sound like the CPS is on it way out.
BTW, This is the section for the XJ's not the GC. Also you need to post the engine size. The GC and Xj's and engine sizes are not all the same. One more thing. You can test the CPS. But it isn't always conclusive. My CPS tested good but it was still bad. I changed it out and never had a problem with it stalling out. Here is Cruiser's ling on how to test it. Go to post #7.

thanks didnt know the differences between them as i dont own one myself imma proud dodge ram owner (when im not fixing it) but i actually had a cps go out on my girlfriends jeep pain in the *** to change. ill give it a shot.
