Default Dying and not starting back up

I recently purchased my second grand Cherokee (wrecked my first one). It is a 1994 grand Cherokee Laredo inline 6 4.0l. It will start up fine and run for about 15 minutes or so then die and not start back up. It will turn over but won't start. I replaced the fuel pump, coil, distributer, wires and plugs, crank shaft position sensor. I have my wrecked GC for parts it is the same year and model engine etec. Any suggestions thanks

I've read on here that the CPS causes the symptoms you describe. Other than that, I have no guess.

When it dies and does not start do you still have a spark at the plugs and fuel pressure at the fuel rail?

When it won't start try giving a little tap on the PCM or wiggling the connectors on it.

Recently replaced the PCM, good fuel pressure. I pulled the crankshaft position sensor out, it looked fairly new (previous owner replaced it) I re installed it and the jeep started right up and is running good
It burns oil pretty bad, I am going to swap the engines from the wrecked jeep (rebuilt in 04) do you think the engine suffered any major damage? It rolled 3.5 times

Default distributor pickup

hey, if you still have that problem, chryslers are known for the pickup plate in the distributor going bad after running for a while then stalling. and if you let it cool down for a while it will restart but die again shortly. pickup plates are cheap 35.00.
