Hard to start right after shutting the engine off REALLY makes me think the FP is going or is bad. Have you done a fuel pressure check at the fuel rail test port recently?

Does that fuze blow as soon as you turn your ignition to on or does it blow when cranking or does it blow after the engine starts?

it might be the motor mount causing it to blow like someone stated.its may pull a wire and causes it to do that.im waiting to replace the mounts hope that fixes it.

my 95 did the same, would randomly blow the big 30 amp fuse for the engin control. replaced the fuel pump and it blew again but now it blows it every time you turn the key on. found the O2 sensor wire was melted to the header. pulled it off and no more issues including the funky idle and RPM would drop below 500 and almost die but then run fine. runs like a champ now

eng ctrl 20A fuse blowing
hello, i am french and i tried to understand what could cause the eng ctrl 20A fuse that keeps blowing.
does someone know what this fuse is controlling? it blows just when we plug the battery on, we didnt even turn the key that it blows.
the intial problem was the battery melting (very very bad smell), too high voltage. we changed the altenator, but the eng ctrl 20 A fuse keeps blowing.
any one has an idea to help?
thank you very much!
