Oil? Are you asking what to use? Read your freaking Owner's Manual.

New 2018 Jeep Grand cherokee Altitude 3.6. Manuel says wait for the vehicle change oil light.

If it's not stated in the manual, check with the dealer. I would suspect it's 5W-30. It's probably on a preprogramed mileage interval.

What do I know about a 2018 3.6? Nothing. My crystal ball is old school and stops at 04.

Sorry, I guess I was a little rough on the guy. I was in a bad mood that day. I must be getting to be one of those grumpy old men you hear about.

Also try looking at the oil fill cap. Most of the time it says what weight oil to use.

No, your response was fine when the body of the OP's thread was "oil". All of that information can be found in the owners manual or contacting the dealer.
