Fuel Injectors upgrade help
Hello guys/gals, I'm hoping to get an honest expertise & opinion with my situation today. I have a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee (Laredo) with the I6 4.0 I believe it still has the stock single hole EV1 pintle injectors in it. I'm wanting to upgrade to the 4 hole injectors that work best for my application. It seems when going online I'm sent to the wrong injectors for my application. Ppl will try to sell you anything just to get your hard earned buck so to speak. All I want is a good quality New or Rebuilt, "correct injectors" with no issues on too rich or too lean, spray pattern or any other factors that arise for my application. I'm needing some expertise advise when using various injectors in our 1st gen Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Oh by the way, mine was Manufactured in Feb, 1993. any other questions you need from me please reply also.
This was one of the sites/page I was sent to from a seller: https://www.motormanfuelinjection.co...280155703.html
Thanks so much for all your time, honesty & expertise on my issue here. I'll be waiting for your response.
Todd

I have noticed many sellers claiming the regular Cherokees from 1987 to 1998 all take the same injector, which isn't true. The 93 ZJ is basically the same engine, injection system, and computer as the 93 XJ. I believe a set of refurbished and tested 4-hole Bosch 0280155703 (aka 703s) should work well. There are a few folks on here that sell them for around $100/set. Hopefully one of them will PM you. I got a set of injectors from jhc7399 on here many moons ago, but I'm not sure if he's still selling them.
Resist the temptation to buy those "brand new" set of Bosch 4-hole or 12-hole injectors that sell on Amazon or eBay for $60. They are almost guaranteed to be cheap Chinese knock-offs and folks have reported problems with them. You won't see any improvement going to 12-hole from 4-hole, either.

Fuel Injector upgrade help
Hey lawsoncl, sorry so late getting back to yah. I wanted to thank you for your opinion/expertise in my situation here. I shall try to check around on prices/sellers for my upgrade on injectors and your old guy too. If anyone else would like to recommend someone alsoplease feel free to steer me in that direction, I would appreciate it so much. Lawsoncl, so are you saying that the ones that I supplied as a link above will work just fine for my application? I could of sworn that motormanfuelinjection.com site stated these are a EV6 and I thought mine are EV1 style. Could you elaborate & tell me how this all works? Is there an adapter to install or what? Are they wrong or what? Thanks much for your info as being a Jeepster. Todd R.

I haven't used these guys but they are recommended by some folks. https://www.cspinjectors.com/
I may give them a try if I rebuild my engine and/or need to replace the injectors.

EV1 versus EV6 actually refers to the body style. The EV6 is the skinnier style that's the same length as the EV1. The 703s are the right Bosch 4-holes for the 93 regular Cherokees. I'm about 95% certain the 93 Grand Cherokee uses the same injectors as the 93 regular Cherokee, and has the same connectors. Compare your connector to the picture below (I think that's call the Jetronic connecter style) Have a look at https://injectorrepair.com/connector-types/ as well.
