Ive got a 2012 Overland 4x4 hemi, and its been running 87 octane gas, and planning a road trip from Georgia to ohio next week. pulling my ZL1 on an open trailer. I know from the Camaro world that if you run less than recommended fuel grade, the fuel trim changes and you need to pull out a fuse and let it sit overnight to reset the fuel trim table back to premium gas.
Is there anything like this I need to do to get the most out of the 93 octane gas I plan on changing to? the jeep has been running pretty poorly for the HP it has. Its the wifes car and it usually gets the cheap stuff. My TBSS always gets 93 per the tune it has.
thanks

Buy a diablosport trinity and put one of the canned tunes in. Or you can datalog with it and get a tune from one of the tuners for the new hemi's. I can give you a couple names to go with. I use a guy that actually works for SRT to tune my turbo Grand Cherokee SRT8. Or go over to the cherokeesrt8 site and check some stuff out.

Just wanted to know if the jeeps are programmed with multiple fuel tables. it recommends mid grade, but will having run low grade gas change the fuel tables. or will simply changing the gas back to premium take care of it on its own?
Its ok if you don't know the answer, im not looking to tune the vehicle. just get it to perform as it should with the recommended fuel

Try pulling the neg terminal on the battery let it off for a bit. Should reset the CPU so it can re-learn a/f again on how you drive and what gas you use. Hope that helps.

The brakelights will draw off the residule charge of the capacitors in the PCM. You can accomplish the same thing by turning on the headlights for about 1 minute.
