today's update and question.

first with the question. Back to the jeep and the crankshaft position sensor. its got one bolt that's a circle and the sensor itself is a circle so do i need the spacer or not would using one if not needed be a bad thing?

today's work update.(van b2500)

got the rest of the engine torn apart to replace the engine coolant sensor. thought they had sold me the wrong one then started to look around there are two on the van. one sends the info to the pcm and the other depending on where you look also called the coolant sensor or temp switch sends to the dash. so i went up and bought the other one from the store thought hell I've torn it apart again might as well replace it, now can't think of anything there that would need to be replaced that would require this tear down.

got it mostly put back together
bracket is back one
alternator partially on, helper went to sleep and i don't know where they but the nut for the one bolt
ac compress still off as are the ac lines
belt and fan shroud.

probably another 15-30 mins there and I'll be done

funny thing is it wasn't the heat that got me it was my back i struggled just to put the tools into the van out of the way.

so tomorrow i should wrap this up and the other small odds and ends not sure I'll get to the bearings Friday or not but i figure sat i should get at least one side done if not both but by Sunday hope to have the van all set with this round of repairs.

hope to start on the jeep Sunday or Monday.

once all these repairs are done hopefully i will get to go watch a movie at the theater and start on the next few things to do

need radiator fluid in the van its running water right now although i might wait a week or two and make sure there's no leaks which would only be from the sensors i put in but i think they are tight to avoid leaks and i used Teflon tape as well.

thanks for listening guys or reading.

ok update time again.

haven't done much at all that was planned. between working and being sick I've just not been able to get out much and do anything.

I did get the van partially finished today. got the engine parts back on for the most part.

whats left on the van to do is:
air filter reinstall with a new hose to the part on the engine
remove the broken ladder off the back
remove the spare tire holder and see if its fixable and if i can get it opened without ruining it. plan on doing the bearings possibly friday has stuff to do wed so don't want it down for that and thursday i have a work meeting (hopefully good news). then i can work on the bearings a bit over the weekend after work.

hopefully done with the van by sunday or wrapping it up monday then onto the jeep.

Hello Everyone

can't believe its been almost 5 months since an update.

but as mentioned previously I can't handle the florida heat and it took forever to get the work done, actually I ended up paying someone else finally.

i did not like having 2 of my 3 vehicles down, actually the third vehicle was my mothers not really mine.

i was driving my van until sept when I went to do work on it that should have been simple and it was until I got to the brake lines I ran into trouble. first they wouldn't break free from the old hoses so they had to be cut and redone which seemed simple enough but when it was said and done while not leaking fluid i had no brake pressure. air was in the system and i couldn't solve it. after a couple of tries of doing stuff i did something wrong and then it started to leak.

long story short 2 or 3 of the flares was not up to par they looked good to me but didn't really have anything to compare them to.

so basically now over the next few days need to clean out the jeep (and van) have two tiny jeep repairs and 2 things to do to the van and one to the kia, nothing major on any of them more cosmetic.

thanks everyone for your help.

I had a 94 first the fuel gauge stopped ,then the fuel sensor inside the tank or near it,then the fuel pump went it that is inside the fuel tank,Yesterday I bought a 97 so far i have found the interior lights not working, and the rear window wiper, about to go check on fuses and relays before I go to work.
