grande cherokee lift
hey guys I am trying to lift a 01 grande Cherokee every kit you buy is not compatiable with a awd model there has to be a way to lift these any ideas?

Okay, any lift on a WJ will require replacing the front driveshaft if it's a CV style. Otherwise, you can destroy the CV joint in a very short time. The reason some companies say it's not compatible with the AWD is because they don't want the liability of this joint failing because of their product.
The front shaft must be replaced with a standard u-joint on the differential and a double-carden on the t/case. This requires changing the yoke on the front differential. This is a critical procedure and must be done right, otherwise you can destroy the pinion bearings.
Also, any more than a 2" lift and you have to deal with a slip yoke eliminator on the rear shaft. There are guys that went to the trouble of installing a 4.5" long arm lift on the WJ, but that gets real expensive.

If you're just looking to put a set of 31s on, just buy/fabricate some coil spacers... they'll give you just enough clearance so the tires won't rub on the fenders.
