Default Head Unit Wiring Help

Here we go. First off, you have the universal 3 plug connecter assembly. The 2 small plugs are for radios WITHOUT Infinity Audio System. The large plug is for radios WITH Infinity Audio Systems. (Really a nice connector setup). You will be using the small black and small gray plugs, as you have removed and or bypassed the Infinity and added you own speakers.

Now for your aftermarket radio plug. The cable has a silver color 'barrel' on each lead. Ignore that for now. The color of each lead is important.
As an example, you have a white lead and a white lead with a gray stripe.
Being that I have to switch back and forth between my reply and your pics. I will do this in 2 replies.
This is the first.

Here is part 2.
I'm not sure (from the pics.) about the color of the stripe on your aftermarket leads. My best guess is it is either gray or black. I think you can figure out what colors to use based on the stripe color on your aftermarket leads.

Aftermarket Plug --------- Jeep Connector

Black------------------------ Black
Red-------------------------- Red
Yellow----------------------- Yellow
White------------------------ White
White/(stripe)--------------- White/Black
Gray-------------------------- Gray
Gray/(stripe)----------------- Gray/Black
Green------------------------- Green
Green/(stripe)----------------- Green/Black
Violet-------------------------- Violet
Violet/(stripe)----------------- Violet/Black

Blue/(stripe) ** CAP OFF **

Any left over leads not used cap them off also.
Don't use the Orange or Orange/black leads. They are for the light dimmer switch on the Jeep and they always cause trouble in the radio.

I hope this helps. If you have any questions let me know.
Doc
