well i believe my vibration just diagnosed itself. i was driving today and slowly the transmission started slipping. It came to the point where the jeep wouldn't move anymore and there was a metallic sound coming from the bellhousing area. When cold, it will move but has major slippage in all gears including reverse. I had it towed to my buddies trans shop where they are going to look at it. On the brighter note, I found a brand new rebuilt trans with all new seals, clutches, sensors and torque converter for $650. If thats the case, the shop said they would do the swap for $300.

well the trans shop has the old one out and the new one is going in. this is what the new one has:
Full 42RE Rebuild kit, New Torque Converter, Pump bushings, direct drum bushings, thrust washers, all new electronics and solenoids, roller clutches, OD planet, shift kit, intermediate band.
This transmission is better than new- has shift kit installed that prevents the following problems: drain back, converter shudder, soft shifts, leak out vent or side seal, OD planet burn up, power loss in reverse when hot.
also, new transmission mount.

well the vibration has been fixed! it was infact the old transmission. must have been a bearing in it or so. however, the tech who took the jeep for a ride came back with a smile on his face. He said the shift kit in the transmission really winds the jeep up and it felt incredible! So thanks to the shop for the major hook up on the swap! They charged me $280 to take out old one and put new one in including adding fluid. The trans I bought off of a guy who bought it rebuilt for $1300 with torque converter. He said it wouldn't fit his truck so after him trying to sell it for a couple months I got it for $650. That put me at under $1000 for everything!!!!

Right around 4 hours.. but I was by myself.. Took forever to line up the main bolt as I had to jack the engine up just a little each time then try the bolt again.

i would have to admit those things are toast! did you replace each mount individually or take them both out at the same time? I plan on doing mine one at a time.

I ran them like this for around 1k miles and the vibration was horrible. The rear view mirror was barely usable. But at $20 each at least it was a cheap fix.
I did them individually. Loosened the bolts, jacked the engine up, swapped the mount and put it back together.
The passenger side was fairly easy, the driver side took a while. Plan on removing the air box and steering pump guard. The steering shaft will block one bolt but if you spin it just right you can somewhat get to it.
Next on the agenda is my transmission mount. I looked at it yesterday and the rubber looked ok but since I already have one here I'm going to replace it.
The motor mounts made a huge difference in driving.. it feels like a completely different vehicle.

i replaced my motor mounts today and the driver side one was actually in two pieces when I got it out. The center, where the bolt goes through wasn't attahed to anything! it literally just fell out of the mount!! The passenger side wasn't bad at all. Made a hudge difference in overall handling of the vehicle with the new mounts now!
