Help Please 2"BB lift
Hi All,
Im putting on a 2" BB Lift from Fat Bob's gararage on to my 1998 Grand Cherokee Ovis.
Please help the instructions say to do the following which I don't really understand.
Remove track bar bolt om the passenger side of vechicle on the axle.Has any one got a picture of the track bar and the bolt to be remover or please can you describe the bolt I've got to remove or do I really need to do this to fit a 2" bb lift?
Second, instructions say.....
Disconnect sway bar end links again a description or pic would help and which end of the sway bar would you disconnect?
Your thoughts and idea's please
And a huge thanks.

I never disconnected the track bar, same kit. Do this, disconnect both shocks and sway bar links. Pry down on one side of the axle and the spring should fall out.

To make it a little easier on yourself remove the track bar bolt and sway bar bolts. The more you can lower your suspension the easier it will be...trust me I just did this a couple days ago. As far as the sway bar remove the top bolts...at least that is what we did.

Your track bar is connected to your body under the drivers side above the front axle, then is bolted on the axle towards the passenger side. Your axles are staying were there at, but your lifting your body up, so as you go up you need to compinsate the diffrence on your track bar, if you don't as your body goes up the bar will start to pull your axle across toward the driver side. They make drop brackets but I've been advised that if you like to wheel your jeep those are not a good idea, you need a new longer track that is made for the lift you are doing, or adjustable one that you configure yourself. Also heard if you measure over 3/4 an inch toward driver side and drill a new hole next to the original one on the bracket on the axle will also work, that what I did but I don't go major wheelin so it works for me. you need to do some google-in and do some home work if you have no idea what these parts are you about to mess with. I put stands under my jeep and took off the front wheels. Then disconnect the shocks and sway links. Put a jack under opposite side of axle you are about to do, jack it up as far as it will go till it starts to lift your jeep up. The the side your working on should be flex downward. That spring should basically fall out once you take that little clip that hold the spring in place at the bottom off. Take bump stop off, pull the foam bumper out of the metal sleeve theres a bolt up in middle of that metal sleeve that bumper is up in. Put spacer in then put bumpstop back on, put spring back in, it's going to be a Snugger fit with spacer, it's slot easier with some spring compressors rented from auto store. Then do the same thing to the other side. Put wheels back on and repeat it all over again at the rear. Pretty simple really.

If you cant afford to buy an adjustable front track bar, much less a rear one, then you have no buisiness lifting a zj (not sying youcant afford it). Dont buy a bracket, buy a track bar.
IMO of course

Buying is adjustable track bar for front and rear maybe good if you could afford it.
I say buy a adj. For the front than the rear.
It all depends on your limit and what you're using the zj on such as trails, wheeling and things like that may vary.
