Default Help! Stalling and wont start until I turn the car off and wait 3 or 4 mins.

Who else has had this problem and been able to fix it. I have a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with a 3.6l with 202k miles.

I was on the way home from work about 2 weeks ago and randomly. My grand cherokee died and I pulled to the side the side of the road. tried to restart and it cranks but does not start. I believed it was the throttle body and went ahead and replaced the throttle body. Thought all was well. And 2 days later, sitting at a light it did the same thing. 99% of the time it happens when I am sitting at a light or idling. It has been getting progressively worse. There are no DTC's anytime this happens. If I keep my car in the run position it won't start. I can keep it in run 30 mins and it will not turn over. If I turn the car off about 3, 4 mins or so it will start right up no problems no DTC's. I have checked all my fuses and they are good. I swapped the ASD relay and nothing. My recalls including the external fuel pump relay recall have been preformed. I am not sure where to go atm. If I get it fixed, I will post it on here.

check your crankshaft sensor. I had the same problems with my 01. Would run fine but the die randomly. Cranked but no start, then would have to wait...after a bit it started. Would start sputtering while driving and would die while idling. Then finally one day it just wouldn't start no matter what. ended up being the crankshaft sensor which sits at the back of the engine. It was a bit of a pain to do myself, but 40 vs 700-900 at the shop is all I needed to know to figure out how to change it. Plenty of videos online of how to do it.
