HELP zj stalling.
i have 97 grand cherokee 2wd 4.0 202xxx miles. ok it stalls and has really rough idle. i have 2 obd codes they are p0113 p0123 p0351. i replaced coil tps and intake air temp sensor. i even replaced the crank sensor, cam sensor plugs wires dist. cap rotor. and still stalling and rough idle more like up and down till it stalls. you can be driving and it will die but engine never dues more or less like it has 0 power and the mabye 100 feet its fine and goes on. im thinking it maybe a faulty pcm. any help appreciated

Welcome to CF. I'm not sure, but it may be the PCM connector. I'd try disconnecting the battery, then disconnecting the PCM connector and checking it & PCM for any loose pins. Then apply appropriate grease, and reconnect PCM connector. Clean and reconnect battery cables.

While it's true some ZJ's have electrical issues, including PCM related ones, many don't. The '97 ZJ that I had didn't have any electrical problems whatsoever.
I hope others can offer some advice for you.

I know you've tried a lot of things, but try replacing the throttle position sensor.

If you put too much dielectric grease on the connector it may be intermittently insulating the pins. You don't want to get that stuff gobbed up in the pin holes, that can cause issues for sure. Dielectric grease is an insulator. Jiggle at the PCM connectors and wires while it's running and see if it stumble, stalls, or clears up. That will tell you right away if it's the connections or not.
There's also a PCM ground that can get dirty/loose, it's located on a lug on the passenger side of the engine up high towards the rear. It's hidden behind a metal wire harness clip.

i didnt put much on the connecters just a dab. i have already put a new tps on it and nothing. ok yesterday i had my scanner hooked waitning on it to lose power i was veiwing the data like rpm and engine load etc. and when it did it said link error and asked me if i had the key on. someone on jeep forum told me that was a symptom of a faulty crank sensor so i ordered a mopar cps instead of another bwd and had it overnighted so it should be here thursday. if not friday reman a1 cardone pcm from advance auto.

Stalling and troubleshooting

Simialr issue with a 96 GC stalling, after verificatin all the sensors were working and replacement of a deffective alternator, the PCM was all I had left, your symptoms are certainly pointing in that direction. I think testing a part prior to replacement makes more sense than buying a part becuase someone else said that fixed their problem. If you disconnect a sensor and the PCM doesn't see a problem then wiring would be suspect. Ground connection points are critical. Clean and toruque all of them. I have been running fine for the past few weeks after swapping out the PCM. I did spend a few hours with a meter ringing out wires and ohming out sensors too.
Let's hope my GC doesn't read these forums and embarass me later.
Good Luck and update the fourm with your results.
