Hesitation
Hello.
Im new here so if I posted in the wrong place, pls let me know and i'll move the post.
I have a (new to me) 1999 Grand Jeep Cherokee with a 2000 WJ Motor. (4.0 v6 154k/on the motor, auto select trac trans 4x4).
It came with many codes in the OBD. 3 were misfires, rest related to ALL o2 sensors. It had a very bad idle, was sputtering, but wouldnt stall.
I did the plugs, removed and cleaned the TB. I also removed and cleaned the TPS, IAC and MAP sensors.
After install, the bad idle is mostly gone. Misfiring is gone.
While in drive, I press the gas and the Jeep hesitates. If I push through, it "catches" and it hauls *****. As soon as I slow/stop and press the peddle, it hesitates "catches" and hauls *****.
I noticed trying to turn from a dead stop creates MORE HESITATION, but
Idk if related.
The air filter is new, oil was changed with Lucas added. Battery terminals are tight.
There's no CEL right now, but i disconnected the neg to do the plugs and it I dont think its ran long enough to complete a new cycle. Im pretty sure the misfiring is fixed tho. Comparing the idles is like whole different world. The only problem its having right now is that hesitation from a dead stop. If I brick foot the gas peddle theres no hesitation at all.
Any ideas or guidance is appreciated.
