how does this happen?

is it more brown then black?
A light tan to brown color is normal on a normal plug. The blackened electrodes are also normal, since there is a lot of ion activity in these areas when the spark is generated. As long as only the conductive tip areas of the electrodes are blackened, that is normal.

a quality plug is usually gaped when bought. Looks like theres a slight gap. I don't see it bent.

It could have been dropped before it was installed, something could have gotten into the cumbustion chamber, or extreme heat could have caused that. If the plug doesn't look beat up I would bet it was installed like that.

They must have just been installed wrong then. I have had problems getting all of them out and there all beat to hell and back. I'm waiting on me to get enough Tim to pull the heads and see how bad it is. I'm probably goi g to end up rethreading all eight holes though. I'm trying my best to get this thing to a decent condition so I can start doing important stuff to it like lift and tires and t case swap and well yall know what I'm talking about.

Yes there all gapped properly except for this one, I do have two more I was going to change out but the plugs are so hard to get out I just gave up and decided that I would wait until i got the time to pull the heads and rethread them. The last one i put in i had to make my own threads because when i took out the old one i couldn't even get the new one started in so I forced it to start with a hammer and just twisted it in with my ratchet. Not the best thing to do but it's working so far.
