Have you figured out if it has the right fluid in it, or not? If it has the wrong fluid in it, it's goona bind up no matter what vehicle you put it in.

Hi to everyone,,yes blue seasons, all the correct oils have been used,,the transfer case has been dismantled and it would seem that at some point in its short life it has been apart for some reason,,,, when the t case was re assembled whoever did it put sealant around where the shafts enter , nor required on the g Cherokee so this sealant has entered the t case in lumps and stopped the oil from doing its job properly.
That seems to be the only issue with the t case, the rear diff requires a new pump, so that is being done also,,, I will keep you all updated, thankyou

Hi to everyone, just to keep you updated, well my mechanics sent my transfer box away to see what they could find out,on opening it up it was completely filled with black sealer!!!!
I have had all this all cleaned out professionally and put back in the grand c, ,,, it runs perfectly better than ever,,, fingers crossed,,,, it would seem that the previous owner had probably had some wire or rope tangled round the driveshafts ( it was used to tow gliders out of their hangers to the runway to be towed up in the air ) they probably removed a shaft to untangle this. The problem was when they re,assembled the car they used a black sealant where the shafts enter the transfer box, this stopped the oil from doing its job,,the transfer box was completely black inside with gunk,, anyway thankyou to everyone,,
