Jeep GC Laredo 2001 ISSUE
I own a 201 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 6 cylinder automatic 4WD.
Diving to work all the gauges went to the left. my windows stopped working. i went to autozone they put it on the hand held computer no codes came up. I took the vehicle home, cleaned all the grounds including the battery; alternator is putting out. Vehicle will run for 10-15 seconds then shut off. Fuel pump is working. I noticed all idiot lights are on in the dash.
I thought it was the PCM. But can’t find module to see if that is the issue. Anyone else have an idea what this could be?

I had the same issue. After three days of checking everything I could think of I found a loom connector behind the kick panel on the passenger side. Required a 10 mm socket to separate it. It had green corrosion on it so I sprayed it down with electronic cleaner and that fixed it. Been good for about two years now.

Seems like a problem with the Body Control Module (BCM) that communicates with all the systems in the vehicle. In 1999, when Jeep introduced the WJ Grand Cherokee, they switched to a single module instead of having several different modules that control each component of the electrical system of the vehicle (or something along those lines). When the BCM starts to go bad, certain functions don't work. For example, in my '02 WJ Grand Cherokee, the interior lights are supposed to automatically go out when all doors are closed and the vehicle is locked with the keyfob, but on occasion, my Jeep's interior lights don't go out. I've attributed the issue to the BCM. It is separate from the PCM. Hope this helps.

Yes, the Body Control Module is a finned aluminum chassis under the dash near the steering column.
