Hi, I am in the UK can anyone in the USA help with obtaining the correct part / number? for the Bottom Hose (radiator water outlet).

The vehicle is a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 ZJ 1996 RHD and this part seems to be difficult to obtain. However, I am hoping there will be plenty of them still around in the States.

Steve, Can you share the part number for that hose? I'm curious about how much of a difference there is between bottom hoses for LHD vs RHD. Please follow my cracked logic for a minute, okay? If the layouts/placements for hoses, t-stat, pump and radiator inlets/outlets are even remotely close to being mirror imaged then RHD and LHD bottom hoses should be really close, if not equal in shape/length. When I look at Rock Auto for a 1996 ZJ LHD w/4.0 I found a Molded Lower hose by Gates, P/N 21971, for US $14. How does this one compare to yours?

I have attached a ' PDF containing a screen shot of the image for the GATES 21971 Molded Bottom Radiator Hose for 1996 LHD ZJ w/4.0. I can see it is an attachment when I view it under "GO ADVANCED". Let me know if you cannot see it, else maybe you can view the hoser on-line yourself.

Thanks very much for your response, sorry it has taken me a couple of days to get back online to you.

Took a look at the Gates version you suggested (GATES 21971 Molded Bottom Radiator Hose for 1996 LHD ZJ w/4.0.) Unfortunately, that looks very much like the part I recently tried to have fitted (no facilities myself) and the Engineer told me that it was the wrong shape.

I understand your reasoning with the "cracked logic" as firstly I did not expect an LHD, RHD version but the original (well an old) parts catalogue definitely states it under the url. beneath where two distinct Jeep parts are quoted (for LHD/RHD). Still as you mentioned they are likely to follow really close physical characteristics but "how close"

So I am now going to try a Mopar part 52028262AB and am keeping my fingers crossed.
