Hi. I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ 4.0 in the UK. My alarm went off at 3 am much to my neighbours delight! The battery had completely died so couldn't disable with the key fob. Tried disconnect the battery but alarm kept going. I managed to charge the battery by connecting it to my other car. The alarm kept going as it thought it was being stolen. Managed to get some juice in it and then disabled the alarm with the key fob. I now lock it with the key as I believe this doesn't activate alarm. However, this doesn't de activate the imobiliser. The only way to de activate is using the key fob. Is there any way this can be done with the key. Thanks.

There's a purple wire with a yellow stripe in the driver door harness. I can't remember if you ground the harness side or the door side, but it will disable the recognition of the immobilizer.
