This is my 1st Cherokee-1993 Grand Cherokee Limited w/78 miles.It's rust-free (a rarity here in New England) and stone-stock unmolested. Seller even threw in a NOS set of the honeycomb rims he bought back in the '90's ! Only problem I'm experiencing is the lack of any brake lights, including the 3rd brake light. Any ideas on where to start? I checked the fuses and I'm popping # 21 but I think that's the security system? Thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide-this seems like a friendly place!

The first thing anybody will tell you in the XJ forum when you weird electrical problems it to check all your battery cables and grounds.
I don't see why this would not apply to a ZJ either.
Seen plenty of detailed threads where they are located in XJ so you can check.
But since I don't spend a lot of time in the ZJ threads never saw one.
But betting they are out there.
Now this is not a look at them thing. This is a take them off, clean them up, and put them back together thing.
Also wiring in the hatch takes a beating from the opening and closing of it.
So as far as the third eye goes you might want to give that a look to.
