You first picture in your second post makes me want to say that the fender is low and the hood is correct (could just be the lighting) the flange where the fender bolts to the body looks to be stretched outward and downward. What is the gap between that fender and the hood when closed?

Gap looks good, in this picture it almost looks like the hinge is bent towards the fender, can you see anything rubbing/hitting when you close the hood? From your latest pictures it also looks like the hood is pushed forward OR the fender is pushed back, the front edge isn't lining up. have you ever had the hood of this vehicle? I don't have an undamaged ZJ specimen to compare to as both my 98 and 95 have had the front driver fender hit and neither of them line up quite right at the moment (haven't made it this far into the todo list quite yet).
