Default Lights Flash when Ignition is off????

Hey All! I bought my son his first car a few months back and it is a CLEAN 2000 Grand Cherokee Laredo. It is a nice little car and fun to drive.

Recently we have noticed an issue and I am trying to figure it out. I have searched and read multiple blogs and forums trying to get an answer that fits.

The jeep has the factory key fob that locks and unlocks the doors. We do have it set for the lights and horn to activate.

For no reason what so ever the headlights with flash when the jeep is not running. It does not happen often and has not regularity to it. The other day I am leaving for work at 5 am and the inside lights were on with the doors locked. I went and unlocked it then locked it again and they went off.

A buddy who works at a Dodge/Jeep dealer says he thinks it is the "Multi function turn signal switch".

Any other ideas before I go swapping that out?
