My apologies to all, I was surprised by someone in my bushes asking what year my jeep was. It's a 93. Grand Cherokee.

No biggie.

But would you tell the parts guy what you're driving, be it a Cummins or Jeep?

So, I will move this thread to the correct part of the forum.

My '97 ZJ and my '00 WJ both only use 5/8" hose, run straight from the thermostat to the heater core and back to the water pump. That's what is known as a "full flow heater" used by GM since the beginning of time. My wife's Dodge K-car (4 banger) used a HCV to direct hot coolant thru the intake manifold to warm it up. When it started leaking, I threw to out and didn't have any problems with the engine not running right.

With the heater blower, I think he has the old blend door problem.

So I took out the all the junk between the core and the thermostat and boom problem solved, now I have heat. Yeah I'm sure therrs a vacation leak somewhere but honestly as long as heat gets into the cab I'm happy.
