Default Lost ring in 2019 GC

I am new here and am not sure if I am posting correctly, but I have a big problem. I just purchased a 2019 Grand Cherokee. This morning I dropped my diamond engagement ring and cannot find it anywhere (I know it is in the vehicle somewhere below the seat). I noticed the plastic panel under the drivers seat and have to think it slid beneath that (there appears to be about a quarter-inch gap all the way around that a small object could slide down into). My local dealership says that panel is not removable and I'm hosed. Someone please tell me if there is any way (short of completely dismantling this brand new vehicle) that I can get beneath that panel or remove it.

No other way? I don't think you should have to dismantle the whole vehicle around that panel in order to get it?

Dealer says its not removeable? I dont buy that. Its a plastic panel, not a steel plate welded to the floorpan. Right? Whats more important. The pastic panel. Or the ring? Maybe its not in there, but its worth sacrificing that panel to find out. Right?

Take the seat out and figure out how that panel was put in there to begin with. Manufacturers typically use plastic clips, pushpins, or screws with plastic. Some parts are molded with posts on the backside that are heated, and look like rivets when done. All you do is grind the "heads" off with a Dremel. But i have no idea what you are looking at so it may or may not be easily accessed. You wont know until you look.

Default crisis averted

Thanks for your reply. Apparently, the svc mgr at my local dealership is either incredibly inept or just didn't want to deal with my issue. I went home and my husband went under the seat and pryed the plastic cover off with a little effort. Down inside was an empty compartment (maybe for some type of option my vehicle doesn't have), and there was the ring down in the bottom. THANK GOD.

That's great news! I bet you are glad to have found it.. As a bonus, we know now it is not necessary to dismantle an entire 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee in order to remove this panel.

You should inform the service department in the shop. They may not know? They could be dismantling an entire Jeep right now.. trying to get this panel?
