Default My jeep is a hot girl

I have tried everything to get my temperature down, but now i surrender and accept that my jeep are a hot girl and that she likes to be hot all the time :-)

I have ...
Replaced radiator
Replaced waterpump
Replaced thermostat
Replaced fan clutch
Flush the system many times
Flush heater core
Replaced temperature sender
Replaced temperature sensor
Cheked the gauge inside the car (its realy cheked)
Boiled the thermostat to be sure that it works
Tried 190F and 180F thermostat with now difference.

Still she tells me that shes hot ( 105-110 celsius, but she is stable at that )

Should i accept it and love her as she is ??

a buddy told me to put an electric fan in my ZJ and it runs super cooler and will get a little more power out of your jeep... make sure you dont have any obstructions infront of your radiator.... my camaro used to run in the 210 range.... UNBELIEVEABLY HOT FOR A 383 SBC.... and come to find out i had Debris infront of it

Mine stays at a constant 210*, it would heat up a little bit more in the middle of summer with a/c on and at an extended idle (stop lights/drive-thru). If it runs those temps consistantly I would say you have a problem, 220-230 is a little hot for a consistant temp.

It really seems to me with everything you replaced that it may be a guage calbration issue. Do you have access to a good scanner where you can monitor the PCM data, maybe read the engine coolant temp sensor and compare it to the guage? Have you tried putting a temp probe in the coolant and verify the temp?

Have you checked your fan clutch? If you replaced all of that it could be that your just not pulling enough air threw the radiator.

when was the last time you pressure tested the system? Also when was the last time that you had the radiator cap pressure tested? I know that here in the states that you can go to any auto parts store and "borrow/rent" the unit for testing these things.

There must be some funny thing with this girl. The gauge tells it 110-115C, it was at 105-110C but i changed the thermostate to 190F and not 180F. I have tested the temperatur sender and the gauge, and when the temperatur sender is in boiling water it has the same resistance that i need to use on my gauge to get it at 100C, so the sender and gauge is correct. I got more heat from the heater after changing to 190F, today its -3C out and after 10-15 min it gets up to 100C, then i tok it for a ride (5 min) and it got to 115C and then dropped to 105C (i think thats when the thermostate opened) and the car is warm inside so the heater core function okey. I then parked the car and let the engine run on idle, i can hold on the hose to the heater core for some time (8-10sec), its not very very hot. The upper radiator hose it also a litle hot, but i can hold on it.

Could it be that the temperatur sender give wrong value to the gauge even if i measure both correct? I know that the engine should be hotter in the back, but so much? Could there be head gasket, but there isnt any exhoust in the water (i have testet it with a test kit), there isnt any oil in the water or water in the oil.

OR, is it just a jeep thing ;-)

The temperature in the front of the engine is normal. I did use a temp probe in the radiator some time ago and that was normal, not hot at all.

Yesterday it startet to drop to 100C and then up to 115C again if i did a hard break, it went up and down some times. After some time it was at 95-98C and was stable there for 5min, then after a hard turn it got back to 115C. Air in the system arround the sender?

Is the AC condensor packed with dead bugs and filth? I combed mine and blew it out and noticed a difference on the gauge on hot days.

no, the ac condensor is clean. Yesterday it was -2C / 30F and its still at 110-115C, but after a short ride (10 min) the radiator wasnt hot at all, the heater core hoses was hot, but i could hold on them for a litle while. Since the gauge have had some "drop" down to 95C i think there must be something (air?) around the temperature sender.
