Need All The Info I Can Get!!!
Ok I am seriously considering a wj for a new toy. It will be somewhat of a DD and def a weekend warrior!!! Mud rocks just about everything. I wanna run 33s a at least a 5.5 in lift. What I wanna know is. How do they hold up? Does it have good factory gearing? What are the weak points? Are the newer i6 motors as durable and long lasting as the older ones? What type of suspention do they have? I want the good the bad and the ugly!!!

quadra drive from what I understand is a very good system it gives power to the tire with the most traction, NOT the tire that is in the air or spinning uselessly as normally happens

Oh ok I went and looked at one
today. It had 67k a i6 and the quadra drive system and they wanted 3k obo. But the shifter just said all time 4x4 neutral and 4lo so I am assuming it was a full time 4x4 setup. So does the quadradrive have locking diffs like a rubicon? Or what? I don't know much about he wj. I can't take a xj apart and put it back togather in my sleep. But I wanna play with something new. I know the rear suspention setup it diff from the zj. But I'm not sure how. Is the i6 in the wj the some ol trusty i6 that is in the xj and zj.

quadra drive is not a locking differential, but rather a very sophisticated limited slip, at least that is my understanding of it, I have driven several with this option, I like it

It is full time 4 wheel drive, not sure what the axles are, and I'm pretty sure you can add a locker no problems, but I ain't no expert

From what I've seen (might be wrong ) ALL WJ's were Full Time 4wd..
They all have a D30 front and D44a rear
And I'd get the V8 for sure in the WJ it's a pig for weight and the V8 gets better mileage..

I have been doin alot of research and I have found that the limited are not good due to a blend door issue. And the select trac isthe best 4x4 system to get. Now i could find a sold ans... But I read that hey have cv axles inthe front and not u joints! Is this true cuz if so I may reconsider goin with a wj.
